The British Legal Awards celebrate achievement, excellence and innovation in the legal industry. The Awards are hosted by Legal Week, the weekly magazine dedicated exclusively
to business lawyers in the UK and major international jurisdictions. As UK law firms gear up for the full implementation of the Legal Services Act against the background of ever fiercer competition, the need to stand out from the pack could not be more pressing. The British Legal Awards will set out to recognise the achievements of those law firms, teams and individuals who have responded most successfully to the demands being placed on them in the new post-recession business environment. The awards are divided into individual, team and firm categories and have been carefully chosen to reflect the range of practice areas and skills that lie at the heart of the successful law firm or legal department. The shortlist and winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges made up of senior in-house lawyers, former managing and senior partners and other senior business figures.
